Analogue Doorbell
The Analogue Doorbell project was a hands-on electronics build focused on designing a simple yet functional doorbell circuit using fundamental analogue components. The project showcased the use of transistors, resistors, capacitors, and a piezo buzzer to generate a sound signal upon pressing a push button.
Project Highlights:
Designed a transistor-based switching circuit to activate the buzzer
Integrated a debouncing mechanism using capacitors for stable input response
Used breadboard prototyping before soldering onto a PCB for a compact final build
Powered via DC power supply (e.g. 5V–9V), ensuring low power consumption
Explored sound frequency control using resistor-capacitor (RC) timing
This project deepened my understanding of circuit theory, signal flow, and electronic control, and enhanced my skills in schematic reading, component selection, and troubleshooting. It also reinforced the importance of reliability and user safety in consumer-facing electronic designs.
